Dr Diana Matei

Diana is an early career researcher in Dr Elizabeth Rosser’s group in the UCL Division of Medicine where she is investigating how gut-microbiota derived metabolites alter B cell differentiation in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis. Diana completed her PhD in Immunology (Rheumatology) in 2020 also in the UCL Division of Medicine in Prof Claudia Mauri’s group. Her PhD focused on investigating the role of intestinal permeability and inflammation in the pathology of Rheumatoid Arthritis using experimental models of disease. Her interest in immunology was developed in Aberdeen, Scotland where she studied Biochemistry with Immunology at University of Aberdeen graduating in 2016.
