UCL Medical School awarded Athena SWAN Silver Award
18 July 2014
UCL Medical
School is delighted to have received a departmental Athena SWAN Silver Award
following our November 2013 application.
The award recognises our efforts to provide a supportive and empowering work environment that ultimately benefits all members of staff.
The Medical School would like to thank the entire Athena
SWAN team (Sarah Bennett, Ceri Butler, Jane
Dacre, Jayne Kavanagh, Michael Klingenberg, Leila
Mehdizadeh, Heather Mitchell, Lorraine Noble,
Eleana Ntatsaki, Tina Nyazika, LJ Smith, Emily Unwin
and Katherine Woolf) for the hard work they put into the
application.
We would also like to thank Harriet Jones and Sarah Guise for their invaluable support and guidance during the application process. Post-Silver Award, the SAT (SWAN self-assessment team) has transformed itself into the SIGNET (SWAN implementation group and equalities team). The new team will oversee the implementation of the Division’s SWAN action plan as well as address other equality and diversity issues.
