Kerry Boardman (staff)

Kerry Boardman

Kerry is a Senior Clinical Teaching Fellow in the Postgraduate Medical Education Team (PGME).  She leads on Continuing Professional Development, Co-Leads a course to train GP Clinical Supervisors and leads on several modules of the Masters in Health Professions Education course.

She is also a Personal Tutor for the PGME students.    She also works as a Tutor for the PGDip and MST in Medical Education for the University of Cambridge.

She has experienced balancing work and studying for a Master's degree alongside being the sole carer for a terminally ill husband and parent to a toddler; being a single parent with two jobs; and now being part of a blended family with a step-daughter, so understands the strains of a number of parental and caring roles!

She is passionate about finding solutions with flexible working, to allow parents and carers to balance work and home commitments, whilst still finding time for themselves!

Rowena Viney

Rowena Viney

Rowena is an Associate Professor in Medical Education in the Research Department of Medical Education (RDME). The main focus of her work is research on clinical communication, postgraduate medical training and assessment, and practitioner and medical student wellbeing, but she also supervises postgraduate students on their masters and PhD research.

She balances working full-time with being an adoptive parent to two bundles of energy! She brings to the pregnancy, parenting, and caring sub-group her experience of adopting, navigating the support available for children with additional learning needs, and parenting in a same-sex family.
