UCLMS EDI Committee Essay Competition Winners and Runners-Up
We are thrilled to announce the outstanding winners and runners-up of the UCLMS EDI Committee Essay Competition, which aimed to highlight the impact of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) issues
"Drawing on your experience of the language doctors use in their day-to-day practice and teaching, reflect on the ways it can promote or impede feelings of inclusivity and belonging in patients and students."
Each essay demonstrated insight, eloquence, and a strong understanding of the critical role language plays in fostering a sense of inclusivity and belonging within the medical community.
We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the winners and runners-up, and we commend all participants for their thoughtful contributions to this important dialogue. The essays not only showcased the talent within our community but also underscored the significance of addressing EDI issues in the medical field.
Thank you to everyone who participated, and please stay tuned for upcoming events and initiatives from the UCLMS EDI Committee as we continue to champion a diverse, equitable, and inclusive medical community.
