Joining the UPC
We're delighted you've accepted your place on the UPC and will join us for the 2024-25 academic year. We can't wait to see you on campus!
You have been selected from over 1,000 applications from 81 countries after a rigorous process of testing and interviewing.
We are confident that the course will be both intellectually stimulating and academically rewarding for you, and that it will constitute excellent preparation for your undergraduate degree at a top UK university.
On both this special 'Joining the UPC' website and the main UPC website, you'll find all the information you need in advance of your studies. If you need to ask us a question, please get in touch with the Course Administration Office: upc@ucl.ac.uk.
Along with the rest of the UPC team, we are looking forward to welcoming you on the first day of your UPC Orientation Period, Thursday 19 September 2024.

Welcome to the UPC webinar
You're invited to a webinar where you will meet the course coordinators and your fellow students.
This is not compulsory, but we hope you will all attend.
- Date: Thursday 11 July 2024
- Time: 12:30pm-1:30pm (BST/UK time) Convert Time Zone
- Location: online via Zoom
We will start with a question-and-answer session (lasting approximately 30 minutes). You can submit your question in advance, or during the session, as well as ‘like’ questions from other attendees.
Plus, you'll have the opportunity to meet students taking the same optional subjects as you.
Connect with your future classmates
We are using the Goin’ UCL app to offer you a safe and secure environment to connect with your future UPC classmates.
Search 'UPCH 2024' (humanities) or 'UPCSE 2024' (science and engineering) in the 'Groups' tab.
Registration
When you register, select the option: "I am new at this university" on the registration screen, enter your start date, choose a password and then download the app. You can use your preferred email address and do not need a UCL email address.
Once you've verified your email address, you can complete your profile. Select "Bachelor/undergraduate" and "Undergraduate Preparatory Certificates".
We've set up two groups called:
- UPCH 2024 (Humanities)
- UPCSE 2024 (Science and Engineering).
