How to register

Registration dates

Monday 23 September 2019 - Friday 27 September 2019

Interested applicants should meet with the relevant course tutor at the CLIE to discuss the course, confirm levels, eligibility etc. 

Tuesday 08 October 2019

Registration and timetabling will take place at the Institute of Education, 20 Bedford Way, room 803.

Registration steps

1. Registration Form

Please download and complete the CLIE Academic Reading Registration Form, which you should bring with you to the Centre for Languages & International Education when you come to register on Tuesday 08 October 2019.

2. Course fee

If you are paying your own course fee you should complete the Registration form and bring this with your payment to the Centre for Languages & International Education when you register.

Course funding - UCL students

If you are applying for funding from the UCL Doctoral Skills Development Programme you should ALSO complete and submit the online UCL Doc Skills Funding Application Form. The Doctoral School funding application deadline for Term 1 courses is 30 September 2019.

Before you apply: speak with your supervisor to see if they are happy to support you taking this language course in connection with your research. If your supervisor is happy for you to apply please ask them to provide a short statement in support of your application. This can be either an email sent directly from your supervisor to the UCL Doc Skills Team or you can email a signed statement from your supervsior as an attachment to UCL Doc Skills Team with "Language funding supporting statement" in the subject line.

3. Timetabling session

Attend the timetabling session for your chosen language (see above), together with the course tutor at the Centre for Languages & International Education on Tuesday 08 October 2019 in the Institue of Education, 20 Bedford Way room 803. Please come to the session with a clear idea of your availability in term 1 in order to help us schedule the classes.
