Update your Zoom software

Ensure that your Zoom software is up to date

This guide is aimed at:

  • Staff
  • Students

Instructions for desktop application

  1. Sign in to Zoom
  2. Click on your profile icon in the top right of the screen
  3. Click on check for updates
  4. If a newer version of Zoom is available you will receive a notification dialogue advising there is a new version is available.
  5. Once the check is finished, click on update
  6. The application will update.

Zoom is now available in the Software Centre for users on Desktop@UCL. This doesn't require you to have admin rights to install the app on your device. To access, type Software Centre into the Search box and then search for Zoom.

Note: Zoom is not available on Desktop@UCL Anywhere.

Instructions for mobile app

  1. Navigate to the Apple App store or Google play store
  2. Search for Zoom
  3. If an update is available you will see an update button next to the app
  4. Click update to install the update
