Drupal CMS: Log in or log out of Drupal

Before you start
You need to be a Senior Editor, Editor or Author
When editing use Chrome, Firefox or Safari but NOT Internet Explorer
Take note - to get editing permission to the relevant website(s) you will need to log in to that website ONCE and ask the Senior Editor or Website owner to request access for you at the appropriate level.
After access has been granted you will be able to edit.
Instructions
Log in for the first time
- Go to the website you need to have editing rights for and put /user at the end of the main URL e.g. http://www.ucl.ac.uk/isd/user
- Press enter
- You will see the following sentence: 'Please log in with your UCL account credentials to access the CMS... .'
- Click on the link 'log in'
- Fill in your UCL credentials and click on 'Login' - this action will add your name to the system and allow us to grant you access
- Only AFTER you have done step 5 should you ask your Senior Editor or Website owner to contact Web support providing
- name(s) of people who need access and what level of access - Senior Editor, Editor or Author
- the web address of the site(s) in question
- Web Support will let the requestor know when access has been granted so please check with your Senior Editor
Log in to the website once access has been granted
- Go to the relevant URL
- Put /user at the end of the web-address
- Log in with your UCL credentials
- You are now logged in
Log in to a specific page once access has been granted
- To edit a specific page, go to the relevant page and click on the little grey cross at the bottom of the screen in your browser
- Log in with your UCL credentials
- You are now logged in
Log out
- There is a Log out button to the top-right of your screen next to your UCL userID
