Drupal CMS: Log in or log out of Drupal

Learn which browsers are recommended and how to log in or out of Drupal.

Before you start

When editing use Chrome, Firefox or Safari but NOT Internet Explorer

Note: to get editing permission to the relevant website(s) you will need to log in to that website and ask the Site Owner to give you editing access to the site at the appropriate level. After access has been granted you will be able to edit the site. Find out about the different editing roles on the roles and publishing page.

Log in for the first time

  1. Go to the website you need to have editing rights for and put /user at the end of the main URL e.g. http://www.ucl.ac.uk/isd/user
  2. Fill in your UCL credentials and click on 'Login' - this action will add your name to the system and allow your site owner to grant access for you
  3. Only AFTER you have done step 2 should you ask your Site Owner to grant you access. See the getting access guide to find out how to request editing access

Log in to the website once access has been granted

  1. Go to the relevant URL
  2. Put /user at the end of the web address
