About the Centre

The centre was instigated after a review and report created by Prof. Mary Reilly and Prof. Rob Brownstone highlighting areas of need in clinical trials across Queen Square. 

The centre commenced in March 2023 with mapping and review of processes involved in clinical research across Queen Square.

The Queen Square Clinical Trial Centre is a collaborative central research centre for neurology and neurosurgery. The centre is supported by ION, BRC-TN theme, and NHNN. 

Immediate aims:

1. Provide advice and direction for clinical trials and clinical studies. 

2. Early contact for review and direction for new trials from new/returning PIs. 

3. Liaise and work closely with JRO, UCL TRO, BRC and North Thames CRN

Long term, the QSCTC aims to support Queen Square in delivering and optimising delivery of clinical trials including late phase trials.
