Dementia Researcher - a network for early career researchers

The contract for the Office of the National Director for Dementia Research ended on 30 September 2021.

Supporting emerging talent in the field of dementia research:

In March 2018, a new website for early career researchers, 'Dementia Researcher,' was launched to allow early-career researchers the opportuntity to network, collaborate and develop across their institutions, funding streams and area of focus. It was driven by the need to support emerging talent and increase the number of dementia researchers in the UK, as part of the 2020 Dementia Challenge to support new talent entering the world of dementia research.

The Dementia Researcher website brings together useful content and timely information in one place. Once a user has registered, they can have access to a range of benefits:

• Find - all the latest jobs and funding opportunities in dementia research 
• Search – for workshops, training and events 
• Support & resources – everything from producing a grant proposal to an ‘Ask an expert’ area 
• Posts & podcasts – a dedicated fortnightly podcast series looking at research and careers advice
• Careers – advice and tips from other researchers and interactive tools providing career guidance
• Community – stay in touch with other early career researchers on our forums and messenger service
