8 May 2014

Professor Ray Dolan and Professor Karl Friston, Wellcome Trust Centre for Neuroimaging, UCL Institute of Neurology, have been elected to the membership of EMBO, an organization of more than 1500 leading researchers that promotes excellence in the life sciences.

They were selected from a list of the most eminent scientists in the areas of Neuroscience and Ecology & Evolution on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary of EMBO.

The major goals of the organization are to support talented researchers at all stages of their careers, stimulate the exchange of scientific information, and help build a European research environment where scientists can achieve their best work.

Election to EMBO Membership is recognition of research excellence and the outstanding achievements made by a life scientist. 66 EMBO Members and Associate Members have been awarded Nobel Prizes.
