The National Brain Appeal

The National Brain Appeal raises funds to advance treatment and research at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology.

The National Brain Appeal Online Christmas Concert
The National Brain Appeal was delighted to be return to St George's Church, Queen Square for an online Christmas Concert.
This year’s special guests and performers included Anthony Calf, Freddie Fox, Tanya Reynolds, Sophie Thompson and Tim O’Sullivan from the Danny Sullivan Group. Everyone could enjoy uplifting music thanks to former neurosurgeon Mick Powell on saxophone, neurologist Nick Losseff on piano, pianist Richard Sisson and Violinist Sara Trickey.
Thank you to the event sponsor, Danny Sullivan Group for supporting the event and helping to make it possible.

A new home for neuroscience
The National Brain Appeal has committed to raise £7million towards the creation of UCL’s new £281m state-of-the-art neuroscience hub on Gray’s Inn Road.

Work is now well underway and The National Brain Appeal is delighted to be a part of this vital project which will connect research scientists, clinicians and patients. This will be a truly groundbreaking collaboration in the world of neurology.

The Centre will be home to three organisations: the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology (IoN), the Dementia Research Institute Hub and the outpatient department of The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. The work carried out here will benefit people across the UK and the world, searching for solutions to some of the most complex problems affecting our brains and nervous systems. You can read more about the project and our appeal in our Annual Review.
