WEISS Winter Workshop

20 WEISS members each presented a two-minute ‘Research Teaser’ talk, highlighting key points from their research but also sharing more about the person behind the research. We were pleasantly surprised to learn that among our number, we can count: a former Ninja Warrior UK Finalist, a part-time journalist, a semi-professional athlete and a former UCL ice-hockey champ!

The Winter Workshop was also an opportunity to acknowledge outstanding achievement and collaboration from our members over the past year. Prizes included ‘Early Career Researcher of the Year’ (a tie between three!), as well as the ‘Collaborator’ award and ‘Public Engagement Practice Award’, that all went to deserving recipients.
