Personal Assistant to WEISS Clinical Director and Deputies - Ref:1883911 
Duties and Responsibilities
The Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) at UCL brings together a wide team of engineering and clinical experts working to develop new surgical technologies. These advances are going to create intuitive and highly personalised surgical platforms that enable more precise, less invasive procedures. 
 
A role has been created to provide support to our Clinical Director and diary management support to our Deputy Directors.
 
The post is funded until 1 May 2024 in the first instance.
Key Requirements
We are looking for a skilled PA/administrative person who is experienced in diary management and acting as a gatekeeper for high level Executives. Financial administration and some knowledge of clinical and/or HE environment would be a desirable.

Research Fellow / Senior Research Fellow in AI/ML for Synthetic Surgical Data - Ref:1885272 
Duties and Responsibilities
Applications are invited for the post of Research Fellow or Senior Research Fellow, to work under the supervision of Dr Thomas Dowrick as part of the EPSRC funded project ‘Improving Research Translation in Image Guided Surgery’. This position is based in The Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS), located at Charles Bell House in London. We are well supported by state of the art computational facilities and surgical laboratories.
 
This post is funded for 2 years in the first instance

Key Requirements
The candidates should hold a PhD degree, or equivalent experience in an appropriate subject and be experienced in developing and deploying deep learning algorithms.
 
To be appointed at Grade 8, substantial experience in translational research, surgical simulation, and/or applied AI to surgery or other interventional procedures is essential. The candidate will also be assessed with the desirable experience and skills.
