The world of research is highly innovative but also very competitive. Researchers must not only be able to conduct pioneering work, they have to convince funders to give them the hard cash needed to enable them to do it. Who can persuade us that their research is the most vital?

We are joined by scientists from the Wellcome / EPSRC Centre for Interventional and Surgical Sciences (WEISS) at UCL for a game that illustrates the sometimes cut-throat world of research while allowing them a chance to share stories of their pioneering research.

Our competitors are Elly Martin, Ollie Ogunlade , Fraye Watson, Rawen Kader, Jeremy Opie and Sophia Bano.

Our judges for the contest shall include Beverly Power from CDHUK, Ecre Karadag from the Fitzrovia Centre, Lesley Booth from Bowel Cancer Research, Luke Buffery from Health Watch Islington and Cristina Serrao from the NHS. The event shall be chaired by Simon Watt.
