Symposium strengthens UCL-AHRI research links

The first joint UCL-AHRI Symposium, 'Towards HIV and TB elimination in South Africa', took place on Monday 12 February at UCL's Bloomsbury campus.
Organised by the UCL Division of Infection and Immunity in conjunction with the SLMS Research Coordination Office, the one-day event brought together researchers from UCL and the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) with those visiting from Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) in South Africa, to share their research and nurture further cross-disciplinary and global collaboration.
The event was attended by 170 people, and watched online by over 300 from 20 different countries via a live-stream.
