The Virtual Virology series provides a forum for virology groups from around the UK to present their work. Sessions are focused on the most exciting and current questions in virology. The meeting format is a presenting group of three speakers who are introduced by a representative or the head of their research group.
This months speakers:
Chair: Professor Stuart Neil, King's College London
- 'Introduction: suppression of CpGs in RNA virus genomes' - Chad Swanson
- 'TRIM25 and ZAP target the Ebola virus ribonucleoprotein complex'
A: 'TRIM25 and ZAP mediate interferon-induced restriction of Ebola virus' - Rui Pedro Galao
B: 'Mechanistic insights into the targeting of the EBOV vRNP by TRIM25' - Harry Wilson - 'Context and position dependent inhibition of HIV-1 replication by CpG dinucleotides in the viral genome' - Irati Antzin Anduetza
- 'Identification of an essential cofactor for ZAP-mediated suppression of HIV-1 containing clustered CpG dinucleotides' - Mattia Ficarelli
