The conference brought together over 40 IP law educators from a variety of backgrounds from around the UK, and beyond, to share their teaching and learning innovations and best practices. The two sessions featured keynote speeches by IBIL's Professor Sir Robin Jacob and QMIPRI's Professor Uma Suthersanen, along with another 12 presentations, which provoked lively discussions on the future of IP educational practices both within and beyond the Law School. During the afternoon panel, IBIL's Co-Director, Dr Matt Fisher shared some reflections on his innovative approach to group assessments, which won him a UCL Teaching Award earlier in the month.

The main conference was followed by a book launch, with the UKIPO's Nic Fearon-Lowe raising a toast to the book's success. Many of the delegates then went on to enjoy the IBIL's Annual Sir Hugh Laddie Lecture, this year given by Judge Rian Kalden, Vice-President of the new Unified Patent Court.
