Engagement

We are constantly developing a positive engagement strategy to build support for health justice partnerships as a vehicle for improving wellbeing and addressing the social determinants of health.

We engage with a wide range of organisations to raise awareness and facilitate progress on policy issues. This includes government departments, local authorities, NHS and other healthcare organisations, charities, professional bodies and networks, academic researchers, and international organisations.

Evaluation reports of various Health Justice Partnerships around the country can be found on the Research page.

Policy

We regularly present at meetings and conferences to discuss Health Justice Partnerships and how they can align with policy interests. Please get in touch if you are interested in hearing from us: health-justice@ucl.ac.uk

We have been working with various policy organisations to highlight the potential of legal advice services in tackling poverty and health inequalities, and to provide information and case studies to support their work. This includes:

  • The NHS Confederation’s work on health economics and women’s health
  • The Health Foundation’s framework for NHS action on the social determinants of health
  • The Money and Pension Service’s work on commissioning debt advice services
  • The Local Government Association’s work on supporting low income households

Practice

We regularly meet with professionals who are interested in Health Justice Partnerships or already working in the field. We can provide information to help people consider how this approach could work in their local areas, or support them to plan new projects. Please get in touch if you would like to discuss how we can support your work, at health-justice@ucl.ac.uk

Events

We regularly contribute to conferences and meetings, as well as hosting our own events to showcase work relating to health justice partnerships.

Recordings of past events and presentations can be found on the Past Events page.
