As part of our Athena SWAN activities, a Quiet Room has now been made available at IHI...

Quiet room launch
This week saw the launch of our newly created Quiet Room

What is the Quiet Room used for?

The Quiet Room is open to anyone working within 222 Euston Road and used mainly for:

  • Returning mothers for breastfeeding purposes – we have a small fridge in the room for storing breast milk
  • Anyone who would like somewhere to pray/meditate
  •  Anyone who wishes to have a confidential chat

How to book

You can book the Quiet Room by writing the purpose of your reservation against the date and time in the dedicated A4 diary just outside the room (no need to add our details).

These data will be reviewed by our Athena SWAN SAT Committee to assess room usage.

Suggestion box

There is also a ‘Suggestion box’ placed inside the room, for anyone who would like to give anonymised feedback/suggestions to the Institute. The feedback/suggestions will be reviewed by the IHI Athena SWAN SAT Committee.
