UCL in South East Asia & Australasia

South East Asia and Australasia’s rich geographic and cultural diversity is reflected in UCL’s extensive engagement in the region. From tackling neurodegeneration in Singapore to improving urban transport in Thailand, UCL delivers impact in the region in a multitude of ways.
Given the strength of UCL’s institutional partnerships, complemented by an active network of academics working with partners across South East Asia and Australasia, UCL is well positioned to have a positive impact in the region in the coming years.

We're proud of our international and multi-cultural community which counts 1,831 students from South East Asia and Australasia currently studying at UCL and 12,426 UCL alumni in South East Asia and Australasia. Meet some of our students, alumni and academics through the slideshow above.

Research, partnerships and projects

UCL has important institutional partnerships with two world-leading universities in this region: National University of Singapore, focusing particularly on the areas of artificial intelligence, cardiovascular medicine, dementia and neurodegeneration and nanotechnology, and the University of Sydney, which spans across all 11 UCL Faculties. Check the slideshow for examples of how we're delivering impact.

UCL's South East Asia & Australasia Regional Network

UCL’s South East Asia & Australasia Regional Network facilitates cross-UCL connections and synergies between academic and professional services staff interested in collaborating with partners in the region.

The network meets regularly throughout the year to discuss current and future activity. Are you a UCL staff member or postgraduate student interested in the region? Join the Regional Network.
