Mark Golton

mark

Mark began his career as a physiotherapist, gaining extensive experience in the NHS, sports medicine, and private practice. His journey in healthcare saw a natural progression towards managerial, operational, and commercial roles within the organizations he worked with. Mark's adventurous spirit led him to take a brief sabbatical to row across the Atlantic, an experience that further honed his leadership skills.

In 2021, Mark joined HCA UK, initially as the Head of Orthopaedics and Spinal Services, a role that has since expanded to include responsibilities in anaesthetics and neuroscience. His current position involves developing and implementing service line strategies, focusing on growth, quality, governance, and innovation. Mark works collaboratively with Hospital CEOs and corporate executives to ensure the successful execution of these strategies, leveraging his diverse background in both clinical and managerial capacities.

Angel Fernandez

Originally from Spain, Angel began his healthcare career over a decade ago as a Registered Nurse. His professional journey took a significant turn upon moving to the UK, where his experience in Critical Care settings ignited a passion for advancement. This pursuit of growth led Angel to Cleveland Clinic in Abu Dhabi, serving as an ICU Assistant Manager and pursuing a Master of Science in Nursing, focusing on clinical leadership.

After a fruitful five-year tenure in the Middle East, Angel returned to London to play a pivotal role in establishing Cleveland Clinic London as a Nursing Operations Manager. As he embarks on an Executive MBA at UCL, Angel is delving into the realms of social sciences, driven by a desire to broaden his skill set.

Angel's professional path is marked by adaptability, dedication, and a commitment to continuous learning. He is excited to bring his diverse experiences to the UCL academic community while simultaneously embracing the rich learning opportunities that UCL offers.
