Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in Strategy and Entrepreneurship

This post is to strengthen our research and education in the critical areas of strategy and entrepreneurship. We are looking for an exceptional colleague who can contribute to our evolving interdisciplinary research across the health ecosystem from a business management perspective. This postholder will also support UCL Global Business School for Health’s MBA Health delivery at UCL East. The ideal candidate should have teaching experience and a creative approach to designing and delivering postgraduate and professional levels in subject-specific and interdisciplinary contexts. GBSH is a multidisciplinary department with a health management focus. The ideal candidate will have an evolving research agenda that will allow them to contribute to at least one of the themes of the department. We have excellent support for early career researchers and ample opportunities to develop your research profile.

  • Contribute to the development of research and education in the areas of strategy and entrepreneurship.
  • Secure external funding sources, preferably as a principal and/or co-investigator.
  • The post will involve establishing collaborative relationships and making logistical arrangements for co-teaching with other departments at UCL.
  • Recruit and supervise PhD students.
  • The appointee will make a dynamic and world-leading academic contribution to UCL’s interdisciplinary healthcare management education, research and engagement.

Lecturer (Teaching) in Analytics

This post supports delivery of UCL Global Business School for Health’s MSc Global Healthcare Analytics route at UCL East. 

The post holder will work in a team to deliver postgraduate modules on our Global Healthcare Management MSc within the analytics route programme specifically supporting analytic-related modules. These are well established modules at the UCL and the incumbent will be responsible for delivery of the modules to a subset of the students and working as part of the convening team.

This post would suit someone who is passionate about sharing their knowledge of Python and machine learning to students interested in working in the healthcare sector who have not met these concepts before and is keen to enhance their teaching experience. The post holder will need to have excellent communication skills and preferably experience of using Python and machine learning in an applied context, preferably in a healthcare environment.

This role is a part time (7.3 hours per week) fixed term appointment for 1 year to start from August 2024.

Lecturer (Teaching) in Health Economics

This post supports delivery of UCL Global Business School for Health’s new MSc suite of programmes as well as contributing to the MBA Health at UCL East.  

  • Contribute to the development of education in Health Economics
  • Undertake teaching at postgraduate level in health economics modules taught as part of the suite of programmes in GBSH
  • Develop curriculum and other teaching activities to enhance the student experience
  • Supervise MSc students research projects

This role is a part time (18.25 hours per week) fixed term appointment for 1 year to start from August 2024.
