Department FAQs
- Is it possible to work and study at the same time?
Part-time (2 year) courses are designed for those who work part-time. We would recommend that you register to complete your master's flexibly over 3-5 years if you aim to work full-time as well as complete your degree. This gives you the flexibility to do as little or as much as you are able over a maximum of five years. This format was designed specifically to accommodate full-time work schedules.
- When does teaching start, and when are the term dates?
The MSc programmes are 12-months long and run from September to September each year. You can view the provisional term dates and closures for 2024-2025 on the UCL website.
- What do I need to prepare for the start of the MSc programme?
We will be contacting you over the summer before your admission with materials to prepare.
- Is there funding available?
Funding and scholarships are available. Please take a look at the UCL postgraduate taught funding information.
We also offer departmental funding that you may be eligible to apply for. Please check our website for further information.
