The Research Department of Epidemiology and Public Health is chaired by Professor Richard Watt, and houses roughly 180 staff across nine research groups: namely; the Cancer Research UK Health Behaviour Research Centre (including Weight Concern), Central and Eastern Europe Research, Dental Public Health, Health and Social Surveys Research, Institute of Health Equity, International Centre for Life Course Studies in Society and Health, Leonard Cheshire Disability and Inclusive Development Centre, Psychobiology and Whitehall II Study.
The Department offers an extensive graduate taught programme and provides a significant contribution to undergraduate teaching, as well as running several seminar series which all members of staff are encouraged to attend.
