UCL has a network of trained advisors who provide a confidential information service to staff on issues relating to bullying, harassment, and sexual misconduct. All advisors have received additional training on these issues.
Support for Staff
If you've experienced, observed or been accused of bullying, harassment, sexual harassment or discrimination, you can contact an advisor through the Report + Support Online Form.
The university also has very clear statements on Dignity at Work, the prevention of bullying, harassment and sexual misconduct, and various policies and procedures to launch a formal complaint.
Staff members can request to speak with an advisor via Report + Support: An advisor can confidentially talk you through UCL's procedures, how to make a complaint and let you know what support is available.
Support for Students
For students, if you experience or observe harrassment or bullying you can contact any of the following options:
- Your personal tutor or a member of staff you trust in the Department or the inclusion lead, Dr. Suphanit Piyapromdee
- The student mediator, Ruth Siddall or the Vice-Warden or Warden of your Halls of Residence
- The UCLU Women’s Officer or Welfare and International Officer if the incident occurred at a UCLU event.
- You can also report an incident by completing the Student and Registry Services Student Enquiry Form. To set up an appointment with the Adviser for Women, select the option ‘request an appointment’ and the service required ‘Adviser to Women Students’.
- You can also report incidents anonymously via Report + Support.
