Collaborations

We are committed to working closely and effectively with others. By bringing together the most able scientists and clinicians and supporting them in their research, we have the opportunity to bring together the breadth and depth of expertise required to deliver therapeutic advances to this shattering condition.

A critical mass of expertise

The UCL Neuroscience Domain is a large, cross-disciplinary research community that spans UCL and our partner organisations. It makes fundamental discoveries about brain function and behaviour, trains the next generation of scientists and clinicians, and transforms our ability to treat neurological and psychiatric disorders.

Health gains for patients and populations

Our basic neuroscience research is translated into new ways of diagnosing and treating disease through our vibrant partnerships with the UCLPartners Academic Health Sciences Centre and our Biomedical Research Centre and specialist Biomedical Units.

The Alzheimer's Research UK Drug Discovery Alliance is a network of three Drug Discovery Institutes, based at the Universities of Oxford, Cambridge and UCL. Led by drug discovery experts in partnership with world-leading academic researchers the Drug Discovery Institutes capitalise on promising discoveries coming out of the host university and the wider Alzheimer's Research UK Network.

The MRC Dementias Platform UK is a multi-million pound public-private partnership, developed and led by the Medical Research Council, to accelerate progress in, and open up, dementias research. Its aims are early detection, improved treatment and ultimately, prevention, of dementias.
