18 May 2017

Professors Sofia Olhede and Patrick Wolfe presented work at 'Patterns and Behaviours' a science/art event.

On 17 May, Professors Sofia Olhede and Patrick Wolfe presented work at 'Patterns and Behaviours' a science/art event. The evening, at Truman Brewery, was part of the creative reactions project, which brings together scientists and artists to collaborate. Patrick and Sofia talked about data analysis of tidal data, and the importance of the point-of-view of the observer. Collaborating artists were the poet Francis Byrne, film-maker Susi Arnott and photographer Crispin Hughes.

The image presented showed spectral analysis of a moving and fixed camera recording tides and was displayed 15-17 May 2017 at Juju’s Bar & Stage, Truman Brewery, 15 Hanbury Street, London E1 6QR.
