Todd Davies

Associate member, Centre for Law, Economics and Society

Todd Davies is a PhD student in Competition Law, supervised by Ioannis Lianos, Deni Mantzari, and David Murrell. His research sits at the intersection of competition law, political economy, mathematical ecology and complexity science.
His PhD investigates the following questions:

  • To what extent is the competitive process seen as a concern in 'competition like' EU law, as it pertains to digital markets?
  • When should competition authorities intervene to safeguard the competitive process in digital markets?
  • How should competition authorities intervene to safeguard the competitive process in digital markets?

Prior to starting his doctoral studies, Todd worked for six years as a software engineer at Google. He holds a master's degree in Politics and Technology from the Technical University of Munich, and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from the University of Manchester.
