New Associate Members at CLES

The CLES has the pleasure to announce the following three appointments: Professor Herbert Hovenkamp (University of Iowa), Professor Damien Geradin (University of Tilburg, George Mason University), Dr Paolo Siciliani (Bank of England, PhD UCL 2013).
Professor Herbert Hovenkamp (University of Iowa), the leading US antitrust scholar and an authority in the history of the interaction between law and business and law and economics has been appointed a honorary professor at UCL Laws. Herb has already served as a member of the advisory board of the CLES and will be now attached to the CLES as an associate member participating in our collaborative research projects and providing teaching to our LL.M students and short courses programmes.
Professor Damien Geradin (University of Tilburg, George Mason University), a leading EU competition law scholar and practitioner and an authority in the field was appointed visiting professor at UCL laws and an associate member of the CLES. Damien is already teaching at our LL.M programme and will be participating in our collaborative research activities and events.
Dr Paolo Siciliani (Bank of England, PhD UCL 2013) was appointed a visiting lecturer at UCL laws and an associate member at the CLES. Paolo has conducted research on the intersection of behavioural economics and competition law/consumer protection law. He is currently a competition expert at the Bank of England (Prudential Regulation Authority) and was Chief Economist at the BBC Trust for 3 years, after spending 3 years at the Office of Fair Trading (the UK competition authority) as an economic adviser. Paolo is already teaching in our LL.M programme and will be participating in our collaborative research activities and events.
