This Summer UCL Careers is offering an exciting menu of bespoke training, events and support to help you explore the landscape of employability and smooth the transition to your graduate future.

Summer Career Coaching Appointments

We are offering additional careers appointments for students who feel they need a bit more support at this time of year. These thirty minute appointments, with experienced Careers Consultants, will run until the end of June and are bookable up to a week in advance. To access them simply log in to your myUCLCareers account - the ‘Summer Career Coaching Appointments’ will be visible in the appointment type listings.


Employers on Equality 

Tuesday 1 June - Friday 4 June 

Employers on Equality is your chance to hear from employers who are taking positive action to improve diversity and equality in their recruitment and workplace. Check out the events below to find out more, and how everyone can benefit.

Data-Driven Management & Digital Consulting with Celonis

In this masterclass you will learn about trends in Digital Transformation and Data Driven Management and how process-oriented data science can facilitate an analytical viewpoint internal organizations. You will furthermore gain business user skills the Celonis software and how to use it in a management and management consulting context.

Live sessions:
Tuesday 1 June, 1-3pm - Kick-Off Workshop
Tuesday 15 June, 1-3pm - Final Workshop 

Please note: You must attend both sessions in order to complete the training.

Course Content Overview (approx.. 3h per week):

  • Week 1: Kick-Off Workshop (live); Start of Online Training; Process Discovery Basics (online); Execute Intelligent Actions -Insights into Process Prediction (online)
  • Week 2 (online learning): Process Discovery Advanced (online); Performance Monitoring with Transformation Centre (online); Introduction to Business Case “Pizzeria Mamma Mia” (online)
  • Week 3: Final Workshop (live), Value Realization through Data Driven Management (online), Deadline for Business Case Pizzeria Mamma Mia (online) 

The Masterclass will start on 1 June and participants are welcome to study at their own pace! A certificate will be awarded to successful candidates at the end of the 3 weeks!

Summer Jobs Market

Wednesday 2 June, 1:30pm - 4:30pm 

Our virtual industry-specific fairs will give you one-on-one time with a range of recruiters looking to hire UCL students and graduates. It’s a great opportunity to speak to managers, recruitment personnel and recent graduate hires to find out about current opportunities, get inside information on hiring and selection processes for the companies you're interested in and expand your professional networks as well as being a general chance to ask any other questions you may have.

Careers in China

Monday 2 - Friday 13 August

This summer, we are delighted to able to bring you Careers in China – a 2 week collaborative event, led by London School of Economics and Political Science and Imperial College London with University of Cambridge, King's College London, Columbia University, the University of Chicago and UCL – specifically designed to give you the opportunity to meet employers who are recruiting for roles in China (Mainland and Hong Kong SAR).

During the two weeks, you will have the opportunity to browse vacancies, post your own graduate profile, view employer presentations and ‘how to prepare’ materials before engaging directly with employers through one-to-one and group video chats.  

More information on the full programme, the employers taking part and how to book will be announced later this summer.
