Making the most of Careers in Health week – How to talk to industry professionals

Monday 4th March 2019 1-2pm

Talking with industry staff at forums and networking evenings is a great way of learning more about opportunities of interest and giving yourself the best chance of impressing in future applications.  In reality, it can be difficult to know how to approach, talk and generally benefit from a conversation with the whole experience often feeling a little daunting.  In this session, you'll:

    • Understand why opportunities to connect with industry staff are so important
    • Gain an awareness of how to conduct networking conversations - from creating a strong first impression, asking the right questions to the etiquette behind exiting a conversation and making the most of what you've learnt.
