We are dedicated to exploring the spatial, social and cultural possibilities of buildings. In the last few years we have increased our links with practice and have made strategic appointments of practicing architects who are research-active as well as key teaching staff in our MArch Architecture (ARB/RIBA Part 2) programme.
Our research approach in the area of buildings is design-led, experimental and driven by ideas. It results in the completion of highly contextual and inventive buildings, many of which are distinguished with significant awards. Material, ecological and technological innovation is at the core of our research, supported by excellent project collaborators.
