Research summary
Currently I am focusing on the temporality of past communities, specifically the transmission of practices and material culture found in burial contexts. My research within the ERC COREX project is focusing on burials found in Europe from the Armorican Massif (France) to the Urals (Russia) and from Southern Scandinavia to the Balkans. From a chronological perspective it corresponds to the the 6000-1000 BC time period. The goal is to develop a innovative approach to documenting long-term changes in cultural practices, which can be correlated with biological changes of past populations.
I am also interested in the application of social theory in archaeological research, specifically practice theory, as well as quantitative analysis of prehistoric pottery from Central Europe.
Teaching summary

- the methodology of analysing the stratigraphy and material culture of multi-layered settlements (tells),
- long-term continuities of Neolithic and Bronze Age societies,
- introduction to archaeology,
- introduction to prehistory,
- burial practices in the Carpathian Basin between the 6th and 1st millennium BC,
