- Profile
IoA involvement:
Nadia currently assists Rachael Sparks with any archaeological illustrations she may require for research projects and the IoA collections. In addition, she also has direct contact with students and researchers, providing assistance and advice on a variety of illustration projects that they may be involved in.
Since 2019, in collaboration with Fiona Griffin (Senior Illustrator – Publications, Archaeology South-East), Nadia has co-coordinated and taught our ARCL0036 Archaeological Illustration and Imaging module that is offered to 2nd and 3rd year undergraduate students. This includes implementing a cohesive teaching program, sourcing artefacts for illustration, teaching, facilitating ongoing student support and finally marking the coursework consisting of an essay and portfolio.
In recent years, Nadia has participated in the annual three day Experimental Archaeology course (‘Archaeo-Tech’) where she is involved with the pottery and clay sessions conducted by Bill Sillar.
Nadia undertook both her BA and MA degrees at the UCL Institute of Archaeology and has been associated with supporting archaeological illustration on an ad-hoc basis for the past 10 years.
