- Profile
IoA involvement:
Jan Picton contributes to the teaching of the affiliate course Ancient Egypt in London which she originally developed and coordinated, and IoA modules on Archaeology of Egypt and Sudan. She offers student support for object-based research in the Petrie Museum, and mentors Institute students on access to the Petrie Museum archives and on their own object-based research.
Jan continues active fieldwork in Egypt on two major projects (with IFAO at Gurob, and with the MET Museum New York at Malqata). She contributes seminars on this fieldwork for the IoA Research Network Archaeology of Egypt and Sudan, reinforcing IoA staff support for IoA undergraduate and MA/MSc students.
