Louise Martin on Visiting Fellowship in Jordan

Louise Martin (UCL Institute of Archaeology) has been awarded funding from the Council for British Research in the Levant (CBRL) for a Residential Fellowship in Jordan.
Louise Martin's Residential Fellowship in Jordan will run from April-July 2023, allowing her to undertake research on People & Animals in the Jordanian Badia, past and present.
While based at the Council for British Research in the Levant Amman Institute, Louise will give a research presentation on Issues in Neolithic Pastoralism in Jordan’s Badia and lead a Zooarchaeology workshop for students/professionals in Jordan, facilitated by use of the CBRL Animal Bone Reference Collection as a core training resource.
Louise will also partner with colleagues at Shaumari Wildlife Reserve to develop educational activities and displays.
The Council for British Research in the Levant is a learned society working to advance public education on the Levant (Jordan, Palestine, Israel, Lebanon, Syria and Cyprus) through promoting and disseminating research in the humanities, social sciences and related subjects.
