Holocaust Memorial Day 2022
24 January 2022
The UCL Institute of Archaeology Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee have collated resources for staff and students to mark Holocaust Memorial Day 2022.
Since 2001, Holocaust Memorial Day has been marked internationally on 27 January each year to remember the six million Jews murdered during the Holocaust, alongside the millions of other people killed under Nazi persecution of other groups and in genocides that followed in Cambodia, Rwanda, Bosnia and Darfur. The date, 27 January, marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp.
The UCL Institute of Archaeology Equality, Diversity and Inclusion Committee have collated the following resources and events (they are by no means exhaustive) for students, staff and the public to find out more.
