UCL Institute of Advanced Studies opens 

We have launched the UCL Institute of Advanced Studies, drawing on UCL’s extensive expertise across the humanities and social sciences, to identify and address the urgent ethical and intellectual challenges facing humanity today, and to confront our responsibilities as citizens of an increasingly contracting and inter-connected world.

The institute will provide a space for critical thinking and engaged enquiry within and across conventional disciplinary and departmental boundaries. It aims to create an open and accessible research-based community, bridging traditional ‘artistic’ and ‘scientific’ practices and modes of thought and bringing UK and international scholars into conversation with one another.
