The IfWH Qualitative Research Forum provides a monthly meeting place for researchers to come together, to engage in analytic and methodological discussions about work-in-progress, and to discuss ideas and directions for future research. Our aim is to establish an informal and supportive network which fosters dialogue among qualitative researchers across the Institute, enabling us to have better awareness of each other’s projects and interests, and providing us all with a first port of call for feedback.
We will meet once a month for approximately 90mins. We intend to divide this time equally between a round-table update (during which each person can briefly update the forum on their current research or dissemination activities and share information regarding relevant upcoming events), and an informal presentation by one member followed by group feedback. Presenters may choose to focus on any aspect of their current work - from presenting data they are analysing, to circulating a manuscript-in-preparation for group discussion.
