Quality of clinical care

The “Beyond the Numbers” approach is one methodology to help improve the quality of care provided at different health levels in lower income countries.

In 2013, together with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, the Institute is planning to publish a series of papers on how best to ensure quality of care in resource poor setting.

Staff are also involved in the development of national and international clinical guidelines for women, mothers and newborn children.

Further, Gwyneth Lewis and more recently Judith Stephenson are asked to advise governments on the development of high quality integrated women’s health services in their countries.
