Low-cost pregnancy interventions could prevent millions of stillbirths and newborn deaths

An estimated one million stillbirths and newborn baby deaths could be prevented each year by implementing low-cost pregnancy interventions in low- and middle-income countries, finds a new study lead by Dr Patricia Hunter and Professor Nigel Klein (both UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health) and Co-author Professor Anna David (UCL EGA Institute for Women’s Health).
