Project title
Contraception After IVF
Project description
This research aims to better understand the contraceptive needs of women after successful IVF pregnancy in order to improve service delivery and prevent unplanned and rapid-repeat pregnancies, which are associated with worse outcomes for mother and child. Phase one comprised of a qualitative study of views of women who have had spontaneous pregnancies after successful IVF. Phase two is a postnatal contraception survey, looking at the rates and patterns of postnatal contraception use in women and whether this is influenced by how the pregnancy was conceived.
