Nicola Baldwin, playwright and UCL Creative Fellow, is working with Dr Pushpa Arabindoo of UCL Geography, and UCL Urban Laboratory, on The City Dionysia: Narrating Wasteland in Urban Life – a project to explore how twenty-first theatre can promote creative enquiry into urban problems, drawing upon political practices of urban activism as forms of theatricality to display, dramatize and address a theme.

In this session, we will do some basic playwriting exercises to identify and develop themes, conflicts, images and forms, which may also be useful for your academic and professional writing.
