We work with a wide range of organisations, from academic and creative partners, to public and private sector institutions
Intra-institutional collaboration
Our activities, approaches and aims synergise with the UCL Grand Challenges of Global Health, Cultural Understanding, Sustainable Cities, Human Wellbeing, Justice and Equality and Transformative Technology.
Urban Laboratory Steering Committee members participate in the Executive Group of the Grand Challenge of Sustainable Cities and contributed to the London 2062 project, gathering evidence about the forces and factors that shape London, identifying decision points, and debating how the city will change over the five decades between London 2012 and London 2062.
Our work compliments the strategies of a wide range of other urban-focused UCL departments, institutes and initiatives. To date, our activities are focused primarily in four UCL faculties that provide financial, logistical and academic support our work:
- UCL Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment
- UCL Faculty of Social and Historical Sciences
- UCL Faculty of Engineering Sciences
- UCL Faculty of Arts and Humanities
