The PS Hub will continue to be based in London

We are pleased to announce that the Professional Services Hub will continue to be based in London.

The Professional Services Hub (PS Hub) launched in March 2019 at 1 St Martin Le Grand (1SMLG).

Since the launch, over 150 colleagues from 12 different teams have joined the PS Hub and are working together to improve service quality across the UCL community and provide aligned and customer-focused services.

The PS Hub is at the forefront of UCL’s growing service culture and has tackled a number of operational challenges, including improving the student experience (by offering a more efficient Portico helpline service) and improving UCL’s cash flow (through streamlining the NHS Billing process).

Since March, the PS Leadership Team have been considering options for the best long-term location for the PS Hub – this decision has not been taken lightly, has taken into consideration an extensive analysis of the different options and incorporated feedback from colleagues across UCL. 

We are pleased to announce that the PS Hub will remain in London. Thanks to the work of our colleagues in Estates, we have been able to agree favourable terms for an extension of the lease at 1SMLG beyond 2021. This news will minimise disruption and allow the PS Hub to continue to develop services that make a real difference at UCL.

We look forward to more teams joining the PS Hub in January 2020 and with this latest news, plus our growing reputation for delivering excellent customer service, we hope to continue to build upon the successes of the PS Hub.
