Five new teams are joining the PS Hub in the autumn term

The PS Hub was successfully launched on Monday 11 March 2019 with 120 colleagues moving into one location at 1 St Martin Le Grand.

With teams from different professional services areas working together in one location, we’ve seen some great improvements in service as the team continue to work collaboratively and share ideas.

Building on the Hub’s success, we are expanding the range of services delivered.

Teams joining the PS Hub in the autumn term

• Estates Helpdesk – Monday 2 September
• Estates Room Booking – Monday 30 September 
• Treasury and Financial Services Office – October (exact date TBC)
• Student Fees – November (exact date TBC)

Preparing for teams joining the PS Hub

As part of the preparation for the move, all of the team members joining the PS Hub are given a tour of 1SMLG and have lunch with the PS Hub Leadership team. This is a great opportunity for the teams to meet with the PS Hub Director, understand more about the PS Hub vision and ways of working as well as raise any issues that they may be concerned about. This is part of a comprehensive induction plan which also covers items such as health and safety procedures.

Over the coming weeks, we will be working closely with colleagues involved in the moves to collate information on current ways of working, organisational data and service catalogues to help ensure a smooth transition. We will also share regular updates regarding the logistics with the teams moving to the Hub. 

Every effort is being made to ensure that the move to 1SMLG will not create any significant service disruption though colleagues are asked to be aware that service responses around the moving dates may dip slightly.
