Work with Us

We recognise that successful academic careers increasingly start with an entry-level fellowship. We have an excellent track record in recruiting promising scientists at this level and providing them with the scientific environment and mentorship that they need to become successful independent investigators. We remain committed to this process.

If you are eligible for fellowship schemes, for example, from the Wellcome Trust or the Medical Research Council, and would like to apply for a fellowship to work as an independent investigator in Infection and Immunity at UCL, send a research proposal and a CV to g.towers (at) ucl.ac.uk

Postdoctoral Positions

We thought it might be helpful to tell you what we’re looking for in a job application.

We want to recruit people who will bring something special to our research programme. We’d like you to explain this in your application. How are you going to bring your own research training and experience to our work and how would you like to address the questions we are working on. We are seeking to do the most transformative research we can and we want to hear what you think about what we’re doing and how you would approach it and contribute to the programme. We probably won’t interview you if you simply state your experience and give the impression you’ve sent the same letter to a series of applications. If your experience isn’t really relevant to our work that’s OK but in this case, it’s really important that you explain what you can bring to our work and how you would add to our programme. The more specific you can be, evidencing your ideas and creative approach, the better.

If you are interested in the work of the Towers lab and wish to enquire about the posibility of a position here email g.towers (at) ucl.ac.uk.

Any postdoctoral positions will be advertised on this site, the infection and immunity site and the main UCL vacancies site.
