Automate EV Isolation with Automatic Fraction Collector (AFC)

The facility operates within UCL services for size exclusion chromatography (SEC) isolation of EVs, supporting UCL scientists in developing therapeutic innovations in regenerative medicines.

The Automatic Fraction Collector (AFC) automates extracellular vesicle (EV) isolation and enables precise, customisable and reproducible separation. Whereas EV isolation was previously labour-intensive and difficult to scale, the AFC - together with size exclusion chromatography-based qEV columns - enable EV isolation to be achieved easily and with minimal intervention.

The equipment is funded by UCL Therapeutic Innovation Networks - Regenerative Medicines TIN to support UCL EV Nano Community.
