Working title of thesis: Medical Populism in Modern Romania

Research: Analysing Lasco and Curato's 2019 concept of medical populism in relation to Romania in the years post-Colectiv (2015 - ). This will focus on how political actors have exploited public fear and discontent about healthcare in order to advance political goals, including through the use of conspiracies such as in the example of the COVID-19 Pandemic. This will use aspects of political science, sociology and medical anthropology in order to reach a conclusion,
